[__Tackling Poverty Today and Turning the Tide to Create Lasting Change: A Strategy and Strategic Action Plan for addressing Poverty in York 2025-2035__](https://democracy.york.gov.uk/documents/s186057/Item%2016%20-%20Tackling%20Poverty%20Today%20and%20Turning%20the%20Tide%20to%20Create%20Lasting%20Change.html?CT=2) sets out a 10-year framework for addressing poverty in York. It was developed through engagement with partners and was subject to a public consultation that ran from 4 August to 13 October 2025. The draft strategy/action plan and accompanying consultation survey were made available on the council’s website, and paper copies were available via the council’s customer service centre in West Offices, the York library network, Citizens Advice, the Community Furniture Store and York Food Bank distribution centres.
