Footfall in the centre of York from 2009 onwards. City of York Council is currently working with the 3rd party provider to improve the accuracy of the Parliament Street camera counts. Parliament Street data is unavailable between end of June 2025 to end of November 2025 when a new camera was put in place. Whilst figures are provided for this camera, these may not be comparable to previous counts and it is advised that other data sources within the quarterly [__City Centre and Movement and Place Pack__](https://data.yorkopendata.org/dataset/city-centre-movement-and-place-pack) are used until further verification can take place on January-March 2026 data when this becomes available. Note: The Micklegate camera was obscured by scaffolding between 17th October – 3rd December 2025 so the camera counts have been suspended for this period. Note: The Micklegate camera is currently offline due to long term power issues, data from 16/03/2026 has been suspended.
