Thank you for your request for information about the following: Request You asked us: ‘To date, how many people have applied for a vaccine damage payment and what percentage of them had AstraZeneca jabs. The same question posed by the daily telegraph in August of 2024.’ On 20 August 2025, you clarified your question: ‘I am referring to Covid 19 vaccinations only.’ The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) received your request on 18 August 2025. We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). Our response I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested. Question 1 - I am referring to Covid 19 vaccinations only. To date, how many people have applied for a vaccine damage payment Under Section 21 of the FOIA, we are not required to provide information in response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you. The NHSBSA actively publishes information on claims made to the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS) on the Open Data Portal for both COVID-19 and non COVID-19 claims.
