##Request ‘Please provide any recorded information held regarding the minimum pension age applicable to the 2015 NHS Pension Scheme from 6 April 2028, including any guidance, factsheets or knowledge base articles relating to the application of the protected pension age (PPA) of 55. In particular, please provide any recorded information held regarding the following scenarios: 1. A member affected by the McCloud Remedy who elects Remedy Option A at retirement, where their 2015 Scheme membership effectively begins on 1 April 2022. 2. A member affected by the McCloud Remedy who elects Remedy Option B at retirement, where their 2015 Scheme membership is treated as commencing from 1 April 2015. 3. A member with deferred benefits in the 1995 Section or 2008 Section who first joins the 2015 Scheme on or after 4 November 2021. 4. A member who first joins the 2015 Scheme on or after 4 November 2021 and transfers benefits from another registered pension scheme where they previously held an actual or prospective right to take pension benefits before age 57. If guidance or factsheets are already publicly available, please provide the relevant document links.’ The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) received your request on 17 June 2026. We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). ##Our response We have considered this request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA 2000) and after consideration confirm that Section 31 of FOIA does not apply to the requested information. __Minimum pension age__ I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds some of the information you have requested and a copy of the information is attached.
