I would be grateful if you could provide the following information: 1. Consultant Job Adverts Please confirm the total number of permanent consultant-level jobs in trauma and orthopaedic surgery that were advertised in the NHS between 1 May 2020 and 1 May 2025. 2. British Citizen Applications (All ethnicities) For these roles, and including only British citizens (i.e. applicants who selected “I am a British citizen with the right to work in the UK” or similar), please provide: The total number of applications received The number of applicants who were shortlisted for interview The number of applicants who received a job offer 3. British Citizen Applications – Ethnicity Breakdown Again including only British citizens, please provide the same data (applications, interviews, job offers) broken down by ethnic group, using the categories from the 2021 UK Census: Asian or Asian British Black, Black British, Caribbean or African Mixed or Multiple ethnic groups White Other ethnic group Not disclosed Please provide the information, preferably in a spreadsheet, in the following format: Total number of jobs advertised Total number of applications from British citizens Total number of British citizen applications shortlisted for interview Total number of British citizen applications receiving a job offer Then, for each ethnic group: (Example – Asian or Asian British): Total number of applications from British citizens Number of those shortlisted for interview Number of those who received a job offer (And similarly for each of the five other ethnic groups listed above, including those who did not disclose their ethnicity.)
