##Request _We understand that Repatha became available on the NHS during the latter half of 2016, with prescribing restricted to specialist centres and not accessible for GPs to prescribe directly._ _Could you please clarify whether Repatha would have been prescribed by a lipid clinic in the second half of 2016?_ ##Response The NHSBSA does not hold information that identifies whether a prescribing organisation is specifically a “lipid clinic.” While we hold prescribing datasets (such as those relating to items dispensed in the community), these do not classify organisations by clinic type or specialty in this way. Our datasets may include details of medicines prescribed and dispensed in the community, along with the name of the prescribing organisation where available. However, they do not indicate whether the prescribing organisation was a lipid clinic, nor do they include prescribing that took place in non-community settings such as hospitals.
