Thank you for your request for information about the following: ##Request ‘Are ivermectin 3mg tablets available on a prescription via your GP for treating strongyloidiasis in the UK?’ The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) received your request on 28 June 2025. We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). ##Our response I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHSBSA. ##Advice and assistance Decisions on whether drugs are available on prescription are made at a local level. For example, an ICB might refuse to allow prescribing of a drug if it is too expensive. You will need to contact your local ICB to find out if the drug is available by prescription in your area.
