Thank you for your request for information about the following: ##Request ‘Please provide the total number of Remedial Service Statements sent to NHS Pension members as part of the McCloud remedy, as at 7 April.’ The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) received your request on 7 April 2025. We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). ##Our response We have compiled the relevant data and checked it via our internal processes. We can confirm that 24 Remedial Service Statements (RSS) have been issued as of 7 April 2025. Technical complexities that extend beyond the NHS Pension Scheme, have affected delivery timelines for RSS. On 31 March 2025, the Department of Health and Social Care announced that the deadlines for RSS had been extended to ensure that we can provide robust, accurate statements that allow members to make informed decisions about their public service pensions remedy ('McCloud') benefits. As the largest public sector pension scheme, the NHS Pension Scheme has made substantial progress towards implementing the McCloud remedy so affected members can make their choice with confidence. We continue to do all we can to issue RSS as quickly as possible to all affected members. You can view RSS delivery deadlines on our website: https://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/public-service-pensions-remedy-mccloud/making-your-decision-about-your-nhs-pension-benefits ##Data Queries Please contact [email protected] ensuring you quote the above reference if you have any specific questions regarding this response; or, if you feel you may be misunderstanding or misinterpreting the information; or, if you plan on publishing the data. ##Reusing the data and copyright If you plan on producing a press or broadcast story based upon the data, please contact [email protected] .
