#Request# I would like two pieces of information please: 1/ What is the total number of claims to date made to VDPS specifically relating to COVID vaccinations? 2/ How many of the above claims have so far been resolved? #Response# All data as of 8 March 2024. All data relates to claims received by the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) and those transferred from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) on 1 November 2021. All figures provided for questions 1 and 2 relate to COVID-19 vaccines. Question 1 10,546 claims relating to COVID-19 have been received by the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS). Question 2 4,228 claimants have been notified of an outcome and a further 412 did not meet the eligibility criteria for medical assessment in accordance with the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979.
