##Request _Can you send me an alphabetic list of the most commonly prescribed drugs by surgeries around Boots 1 Middlemore Road,Northfield,Birminghan please?_ ##Response Under Section 21 of the FOIA we are not required to provide information in response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you. The information you requested is available through the English Prescribing Dataset (EPD) with Snomed Code (https://opendata.nhsbsa.net/dataset/english-prescribing-dataset-epd-with-snomed-code) on our Open Data Portal website. The English Prescribing Dataset (EPD) is a comprehensive monthly dataset capturing all prescriptions issued by NHS primary care prescribers in England and dispensed in the community. This includes prescriptions from GPs, nurses, and other authorised primary care prescribers. The dataset is openly available via the NHS Business Services Authority’s (NHSBSA) Open Data Portal, promoting transparency and enabling widespread analysis. As no detail has been provided on what would be considered GP surgeries in proximity to the pharmacy, it is recommended to focus on practices within the Birmingham and Solihull Sub-ICB location (code 15E), as this corresponds to the area in which the pharmacy is situated. However, discretion can be applied in determining which practices to include or exclude from the analysis. Please follow the instructions below to extract the required data as we have suggested. 1. In the dataset, go to __Data and Resources__ and select the required month or months. 2. Click __Explore__, then select Preview. 3. Add a __PCO_CODE__ filter using __15E00__. This is the Sub-ICB code for the pharmacy location. 4. Applying this filter will display all practices within the Sub-ICB. 5. Click __Data Explorer Options__ and select __Download filtered records__. 6. Open the downloaded Excel file and remove any practices that are not required. 7. In Excel, go to __Data__ and apply a filter to the __Items__ column. Sort the Items column from Largest to Smallest.
