__Request__ _"How are assessors paid? Is it the same as Pip assessors? They are paid by the number of rejections they deliver."_ We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). __Our response__ I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested. The NHSBSA administers the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS) on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and contracts a third-party supplier, Crawford & Company Adjusters (UK), for the provision of medical assessments under the scheme. Crawford & Company Adjusters (UK) are paid by the NHSBSA as per the agreed contract charges on completion of medical outcome reports that meets the Key Performance Indicators specified in the contract.
