#Request _how many fines on average you give out per month and whether the fine is proportionate to cost_ On the 1 April 2025 you clarified the following: _Can I have 1/1/24 to 1/1/25 and please include all fines._ ##Response I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested. In the period between 1/1/24 to 1/1/25 we have issued 1,207,571 Penalty Charge Notices , this would give a monthly average of 100,631. This includes both Penalty Charge and Surcharge letters across PECS and DECS. Penalty charges are calculated as 5 times the treatment charge up to a maximum of £100 plus the original treatment charge.
