Or will I need to submit a new one?’ Previous FOI: https://opendata.nhsbsa.net/dataset/foi-02738 The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) received your request on 11 May 2026. We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). ##Our response I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested and a copy of the information is attached. Please read the below notes to ensure correct understanding of the data. Dependants and pension credit members are included in the above volumes, as are members who are now deceased and no longer in receipt of benefits. Pension rate is based on what the active rate in payment was at the start of the tax year (6 April). It does not necessarily mean the member was in receipt of that pension rate for the previous or subsequent 12 months, as rates can change throughout the year. These volumes reflect the number of people with pensions in payment in the year in question; it isn’t necessarily the year they commenced receiving their pension, or the pension that was originally implemented, it is an ongoing rolling figure. The members may not be in receipt of pension in subsequent years or still be in payment today. It doesn’t include lump sum payments made, only ongoing annual pension. Members who are in receipt of benefits in excess of £100k also counted as having benefits in excess of £50k. __Definitions__ Pension Rate – The annual amount of pension due to the member at a given point in time. This is subject to change at any point throughout the year. __Data Queries__ Please contact
