The data in this response is accurate as of 19/06/2025. Members counted under Active and Deferred are strictly those with active or deferred status and do not include any active or deferred pensioners. The count under Pensioners includes all types of pensioners — including active, deferred, and leaver pensioners — but excludes dependant pensioners, including Pensioners on Divorce. Compensation because of McCloud in respect of annual allowance charges paid by NHSPS members directly to HMRC and compensated back to members. The compensation amount is provided by HMRC through the digital service calculation and NHSBSA pays this amount plus any interest due. The interest incurred is calculated by the NHSBSA, not HMRC. The data on our end is entered as part of the payment process.
