Request Question 1: - I would like the attached data sheet to be updated with numbers for 2025. Question 2: - I would also like to ask whether any NHS pensioner will receive more than £150,000 in payments in 2025. I would also like to ask whether any NHS pensioner will receive more than £125,140 in payments in 2025. The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) received your request on 14 November 2025. We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). Our response I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested, and a copy of the information is attached. Please read the below notes to ensure correct understanding of the data. The data reflects only those members in receipt of benefits as at 19 November 2025, it does not reflect all the benefits in payment in the respective year, as some of those benefits may have since ceased. Not all members in receipt of benefits at 19 November 2025, will have been in receipt of benefits in previous years. The pension rate is based on what the rate in payment was for each member at the respective scheme year end (31 March). It does not necessarily mean the member received that amount of money for the previous 12 months or went on to receive it for the following 12 months, as rates can change throughout the year.
