#Request# Please provide documentation which sets out how an individual’s needs are calculated in relation to a claim through the NHS low income scheme. #Response# I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHS Business Services Authority. This is because the authority does not calculate an applicant's needs, only their entitlement. Low Income scheme claims are calculated using The National Health Service (Travel Expenses and Remission of Charges) Regulations 2003 which are used in conjunction with the Income Support regulations.
