Thank you for your request for information about the following: ##Request ‘Is it possible to have updated numbers as at the end of April or as at today I have created a table to show movement, and I now have another question to add, how many staff were taken on for this specific purpose ? And how many staff are working on this overall’ Previous FOI: https://opendata.nhsbsa.net/dataset/foi-03627 The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) received your request on 4 May 2026. We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). ##Our response __Question 1 - Is it possible to have updated numbers as at the end of April or as at today__ I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested and a copy of the information is attached. Data provided is as of 18 May 2026. __UPDATED 30 JUNE 2026__ As of 30 April 2026, the data shows the following: There are 4,050 members in cohort 1. 2,043 have been sent an RSS, which means 2,007 remain. Of that 2,007 members, 463 of them show as having an overpayment. Overall, 35 members in Cohort 1 with an overpayment have had their RSS issued. __Question 2 - I have created a table to show movement, and I now have another question to add, how many staff were taken on for this specific purpose ? And how many staff are working on this overall__ I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHSBSA. The NHSBSA contracts a third-party supplier to deliver the majority of RSS calculations for the NHS Pension Scheme. The supplier is responsible for managing its own workforce to meet requirements of that contract. As such, the number of staff engaged in this specific purpose, including those taken on for this purpose or working on it overall, is not held by the NHSBSA. This is supplemented by internal capacity which flexes with demand and who undertake a range of responsibilities beyond RSS calculations. The current allocation equates to approximately two FTE on RSS calculations, delivered through a wider pool of around 18 individuals who are capable but not dedicated to this activity. __Dispatched figures__ Please note, the dispatched figure is not necessarily reflective of RSS calculations completed. There may be points where completed calculations are held prior to issue, for example where additional processing steps or system requirements need to be met before dispatch. As such, dispatch figures should not be taken as a direct measure of the number of calculations completed, and may under‑represent work that has already been carried out but is awaiting release. __Data Queries__ Please contact
