##Dataset Description This dataset comprises information on 'Foundation Dentists' (FD) in England who have completed the Foundation Dentist training in the financial years 2016-17 to 2021/22. Along with the corresponding number of them that are still active in the following year and the number of 'Units of Dental Activity' (UDA) delivered. Data Collection The dataset is derived from FP17 forms which are submitted by dentists via the Compass system. Time Periods Financial years 2016-17 to 2021-22. Geography This data is for England only. Statistical Classification Management Information – This is not an official statistic. Caveats Information: Limitations of Foundation Dentist Data Data is based on any Foundation Dentist (FD) who qualified in the previous financial year. Please note that not all FDs will work in NHS Primary Care Dentistry after qualification – usually, around 70% of FDs do carry out some NHS dental activity in the year following their qualification.
