English Contractor Monthly General Dental Activity

##Dataset Description The English Contractor Monthly General Dental Activity dataset provides information about the general dental activity carried out by dentists on behalf of the NHS in England. Published monthly, the data is released at individual dental contract level and only relate to contracts that provide General NHS Dental Services. However, they do contain information on all service lines held by that contract in relation to the UDA and FP17s delivered. This dataset allows you to look at the activity provided for each financial year, monthly at national, commissioner and contract level. You can compare the general activity delivered to that commissioned in the contract data. This will give you an idea of how areas of contracts are performing. The dataset will not give the whole picture of NHS dentistry in England as it is possible for other dental services to commissioned locally. Time Periods As per the 'two-month rule', dentists have 62 days after the date of completion or last visit in which to submit their FP17s. Therefore, we publish these datasets two months after the 'month submitted' to allow time for late submissions. Example: March data will be published in June. Geography This data is for England only.
