Tree Preservation Order Areas

Comprised of data pertaining to protected trees of the Group, Woodland, and Area Categories. The Group category is used where the group’s overall impact and quality merits protection. The Woodland Category is used to safeguard a woodland as a whole. The Area Category is used to protect individual trees dispersed over an area, and only protects those trees which were standing at the time the Order was made. The data includes the title and number of the Order, as well as including the feature reference on the map of the original Order, and as described within the first schedule of the Order.
