Notification is required of particular work, requiring an asbestos licence, under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (and previous regulations). This database stores information on notifications of work with asbestos received between April 2001 and October 2011 in Great Britain. There are around 388,000 notifications and each notification contains: Name of the client the work was carried out for, Address of the work, Start and end date of the work, Type of work, Field Operations Directorate (FOD) Division for the area the work was carried out in, HSE Office for the area the work was carried out in, Local Authority (LA) for the area the work was carried out in, Actual work location, Whether or not a request to waive the statutory notification period was received in relation to the work, Names, addresses and telephone numbers of asbestos licence holder notifying the work, Start dates and expiry dates of licences The data is historical, as it has not been updated since 2011. It is used for statistical purposes,, at licence assessments, to determine the quantity and type of work carried out by current licence holder in previous years, Providing information on whether particular asbestos work has been formally notified or not. The data contains some personal address details. The information in the data set covers Great Britain.
