RCOphth NOD National Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Audit Year 1 data

The data is for the first prospective year of the National Age-related Macular Degeneration Audit corresponding to the 2020 NHS year (01/04/2020 to 31/03/2021). The data was collected as part of routine clinical care on electronic medical record systems in 63 participating centres. Results are for eyes starting treatment for neovascular age-related macular degeneration in the 2020 NHS year, with results for the first year of treatment and at one year after starting treatment. No results are produced for centres with <25 eyes with the relevant data. Results at one year after starting treatment are only produced for centres with at least 25 eyes completing one year of treatment. Comprehensive information regarding the eligibility criteria used in the National Age-related Macular Degeneration Audit can be found on the audit website (www.nodaudit.org.uk). Results are provided for contributing English and Scottish NHS Trusts, Northern Irish Health and Social Care Trusts, Welsh Health Boards, Independent Sector Treatment Centres (ISTC), and one centre from Guernsey. Results for Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust include data for patients treated in Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. Results for Moorfields Eye Centre at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are for patients treated in Bedford Hospital from the Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as the ophthalmology service within Bedford Hospital is governed by Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
