The purpose of PoCA is the confiscation and payment to the State of benefits identified as proceeds of crime. The Environment Agency applies for confiscation orders post conviction and takes action to recover unlawful profits from illegal operators and low cost/poor quality concerns which undercut legitimate business. Only finalised orders are included. Orders relating to individuals have been anonymised. Information relating to Environment Agency Function and Offence is not routinely available in data entered before mid-2015.
