The data set contains details of all environmental enforcement Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) that have been issued in the London Borough of Barnet since Feb 2019 - date under the Kingdom Services Group Limited contract. Analysis of issued FPNs can be carried out by filtering the following: Date of issue Offence Area Gender of Offender Age Range of Offender FPN Paid FPN Amount paid (in £) The data set contains details of all environmental enforcement Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) that have been issued in the London Borough of Barnet since July 2016 - January 2019 under the NSL pilot and NSL contract. Analysis of issued FPNs can be carried out by filtering the following: Month of issue Year of issue Offence Gender of Offender Age Range of Offender Ethnicity of Offender FPN Paid FPN Amount Paid FPN Fine Area Environmental enforcement means issuing penalties for environmental crimes. These penalties are called Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs). Since the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 became law, measures have been introduced enabling local authorities to issue FPNs to anyone committing an environmental crime that damages the local environment. Littering – General Waste Litter is everything from food packaging to cigarette butts and chewing gum. It can also include feeding birds, spitting and urinating. Fly-posting Displaying advertising material on buildings and street furniture without the consent of the owner. Fly-tipping The illegal dumping of waste. It can vary in scale significantly, from a bin bag of rubbish to larger bulky waste items dumped, such as mattresses or white goods. Duty of Care (Business Waste) Businesses have a duty of care to ensure their waste is removed by a licensed waste carrier. If we suspect a business is not dealing with its waste correctly, we can issue a notice requiring the production of waste transfer documents.
