Section 3 of the Wildlife and Countryside (Amendment) Act 1985 requires the National Park Authority (NPA) to prepare a map of any areas of mountain, moor, heath, woodland, down, cliff or foreshore (including any bank, barrier, dune, beach, flat or other land adjacent to the foreshore), whose natural beauty it is, in the opinion of the NPA, particularly important to conserve. Cliff and Foreshore Uncultivated land above and adjoining the low water mark of mean tides, including not only the foreshore proper but other land in the nature of bank, barrier, dune, beach or flat. This data though was surveyed in 1990
