DNPA Land Owned or Leased

The Code of Recommended Practice for Local Authorities on Data Transparency requires all Local Authorities to publish "The location of public land and building assets" on their websites. The requirement was introduced in September 2011 by DCLG. This layer contains exact copies of parts of dataset 151 (LANDOWN) but only those land parcels where DNPA either own or lease land. For further information on Land Owned by other bodies and major land owners consult dataset 151(LANDOWN) . Where a boundary descrepancy occurs we have adopted the boundaries as shown by the Land Registry. This layer is available on our website in the publication schema area.
