Number of Service Users in Receipt of Community Care Services

Tables showing number of service users in receipt of community care services during the year, by primary care need and age. Data is from historic statutory returns. Figures are rounded to nearest 5. 2014/15 and 2015/16 figures are based on historic RAP return definitions, but are not fully validated as RAP returns were discontinued in 2013/14.The figures for the number of clients receiving the different services do not necessarily sum to the 'Total of clients' as a client may receive services of more than one type. For 2007-08 this definition only covers "home help/ home care", in previous years "overnight respite - clients home" has also been included within Home Care. Direct payments have been expanded from Direct payments to Existing / New Direct payments and Personal Budgets in 2009-10. Therefore the 2009-10 data is not comparable to previous years. Figures may not add up because of rounding.
