New Deal for 25plus is a mandatory programme for those who had been claiming JSA for at least 2 years. Those who had already been unemployed for 2 years were required to enter New Deal when they reached their next annual Restart interview date. In 2001, eligibility was extended to include those who had been claiming JSA for 18 out of the last 21 months. The tabulation tool provides enables users to develop bespoke tabulations providing breakdowns by age, gender, ethnicity, disability, type of claim, starts to New Deal, participants, leavers etc. Tabulation Tool was decommissioned in 2017 and replaced by Stat-Xplore. New Deal data was not migrated.
