A dataset providing the background, list of solutions and outcome for the age friendly innovation lab - Transport. The lab was held on Monday 6th July 2015 and commissioned by Adult Social Care, Leeds City Council. Development question How can we make travel information accessible to older people? This includes real time information displays at bus stops, and other information at stops and shelters bus shelters and inside the bus. Please explore different scenarios such as city-centre and rural locations and the fact that the bus user may not have access to a smartphone. Outcomes This was a hardware only lab. The teams presented twos ideas on day 1 and then collaborated to develop the Bus Beacons on day 2. The solution has been developed into a proof of concept and a small trial has been conducted at MAECare.
