A LiDAR survey of Orkney was commissioned by Orkney Islands Council to support the development of a Coastal Change Adaptation Plan for the islands with additional inland areas surveyed with support from other public bodies. The aerial survey was carried out by Field Group AS in June 2023 and covers 1,655km2. The data was processed and calibrated by Field Group AS and indexed by 1km OS grid. It was supplied in: - Point cloud (.laz format) with a resolution of 16 points per square metre - Digital Terrain Model and Digital Surface Model (DTM and DSM) with 50cm resolution (GeoTIFF). Georeferenced orthophotography (9cm/pixel) were supplied alongside this data as GeoTIFF, and are available under different licencing conditions.
