This British Geological Survey (BGS) marine geophysical survey took place from August to September 1969 in the Outer Humber area off Spurn Head, on board the MV Moray Firth IV. The purpose was to collect data as part of a regional mapping programme. Sea floor data were collected using Transit Sonar and Sidescan Sonar. Sub-bottom seismic profiling data were collected using Surface Tow Boomer; Pinger and Sparker. These data are archived by BGS. Technical details of the survey are contained in BGS report WB/MG/70/4.
