Forel-Ule Index (FUI) outputs and plume extent in England and Wales between 1997 and 2022 and North East Atlantic between 1997 and 2018

Datasets used to describe water quality in UK waters and the Northeast Atlantic between 1997-2022 based on remote sensing products. Forel-Ule Index (FUI), a 21 class colour comparator, was used to classify water into different water optical types, derived from ocean colour satellite data, FUI can be also used as a proxy for water quality, as it relates to biological, chemical and physical properties of the water.
