Survey : CEND 5/08 (part of Data Collection Regulation Survey, Qtr 1 (FSS: DCRDC))

This survey was undertaken by Cefas as part of the Data Collection Regulation Survey, Qtr 1 (FSS: DCRDC); Six surveys of a series to collect biological data on fish stocks in support of the EU Data Collection Regulation (DCR). Fishing was undertaken using a Portuguese High Headline Trawl (PHHT) and 4m Beam Trawl, using a subset of the station grid previously fished on Cefas Celtic Sea Groundfish Surveys. The station grid was not a fixed target and was deviated from as dictated by weather, catch rates and/or sampling needs. Survey took place between 03/03/2008 and 17/03/2008 on CEFAS Endeavour Equipment used during this survey : - Beam Trawl 4m steel commercial 3/5 link mat flip up 75mm CE 40mm liner AFT - Otter Trawl PHHT Poly doors, Rubber bobbins, Liner, Bunt Tickler Survey operations were undertaken on 50 stations 85 different species were caught on this survey
