Historic or architecturally significant buildings of national importance are designated as Listed Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest under the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990. They are recorded in a list maintained by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, advised by Historic England. Notifications of new and amended listings are issued by Historic England and this dataset is updated by the Cheshire Archaeology Planning Advisory Service as soon as possible after the notification is received.
