This dataset details the location of pathways and non-vehicular routes throughout Nottingham City and some of the surrounding areas. The pathways may variously be alleyways, paths across green and open spaces, canal and river towpaths, cycle paths, Public Rights of Way, or any other identifiable paths. Also identified within the attribute information ('Path Feature' field) are features that may have an impact on mobility: including steps, subways, footbridges and archways. It also contains information for both definitive and proposed Public Rights of Way: this being a digital representation of the information in the Definitive Map and Statement which is the Council's legal register of where the public have a right to walk or ride and in some cases use a motorised vehicle. You should always refer to Nottingham City Council's Definitive Map and Statement for exact information on the alignment and status of any Public Right of Way. As well as detailing where the paths are, the attribute data contained within this dataset also includes information on characteristics such as: Path type; Path name and/or description; Public Right of Way details; Length of path or path section; Any associated website details etc.
