Birth Registrations by Calf Breed, Dam Breed and Age July to September 2015

This dataset as reported to the Rural Payments Agency contains Great Britain born cattle only,Cows which have had twins or calved twice in the year will be counted twice in the report, Damage is calculated by the age of the calves date of birth minus the dam date of birth, this is then truncated to the nearest year. E.g a dam calving at 1.9 years will show in the 1 year category, Unknown are those dams which do not have their date of birth recorded, Default are those dams which were born prior to 01 July 1996 that were not registered until 2000 where the keeper did not know their date of birth so a default birth date was given.
