Loneliness and social isolation can occur at any stage in life but is more prominent in the elderly population (over 65’s). Loneliness can increase the risk of premature death by 30 per cent and has huge impacts the individuals and other public sector organisations. This data set shows the prevalence of Loneliness of those over the age of 65 in the Wigan Borough.
