This release from the Department for Education brings together information available on special educational needs (SEN), along with related information about special schools. It provides analysis on: the characteristics of pupils by their provision of SEN the assessment and placement of pupils with statements of SEN It is based on pupil-level data collected via the school census and local authority-level data collected via the SEN2 survey.
